The Royal Horses of Europe are among the most celebrated animals in history. The four regal breeds, the Andalusian, Friesian, Lipizzaner and Arabian, were invaluable to man during the ancient wars, and in The Gala of the Royal Horses, each breed has its moment in the sun, displaying jaw-dropping maneuvers like "The Airs Above the Ground," which was previously reserved for the battlefield. But with their fighting days centuries behind them, these four-legged furies also know when to hang up the horseshoes, let their manes down and strut their stuff on the dance floor with some impeccably timed flamenco moves. The Gala of the Royal Horses saddles up today at 5:30 p.m. in the Chaifetz Arena (1 South Compton Avenue; 314-977-5000 or www.thechaifetzarena.com). Tickets are $28 to $90.90.
