Silence Is a Virtue

According to Kenneth G. Libbrecht, a physics professor at the California Institute of Technology and the creator of the Web site www.snowcrystals.com, "...it's unlikely that any two complex snow crystals, out of all those made over the entire history of the planet, have ever looked completely alike." So, if no two fluffy, sparkling puffs of snow are identical, it's probably safe to assume there isn't another show that is quite like Gale LaJoye's Snowflake. In this one-man play, a homeless, levitating creative type, who long ago deemed words useless for self-expression, employs illusion and exaggerated movement to get his points across. Basically, LaJoye is a mime without face paint and with extra zip — and one who's toured four continents throughout the past seventeen years with his show.
