Teach Your Children Well

Help the development of strong funny bones in the next generation by taking a young person to Send in the Clowns: A Celebration of Slapstick and Silent Comedians tonight at 7 p.m. at the Moore Auditorium on the Webster University campus (470 East Lockwood Avenue; 314-968-7487 or www.cinemastlouis.org). This free event kicks off the first annual St. Louis International Children's Film Festival presented by SLIFF/Kids, and it features three classic short comedies from the silent era: Charlie Chaplin in "A Dog's Life," Buster Keaton in "One Week" and Laurel and Hardy in "Big Business." To ensure vivid memories for a lifetime, the onscreen action is accompanied by live music, and supplemented by live clowns Sammich the Tramp and Oh My Gosh Josh from Circus Kaput. No tickets are required, and seating is first come, first served.
