The Costumes Are a Treat

The Central West End Halloween Party, which centers around the intersection of North Euclid and Maryland avenues, has long been one of the area’s top costumed celebrations. The ensembles are often elaborate and impressive, so you need to bring your A-plus game to even be considered during the adult costume contest, which happens sometime between 8 p.m. and midnight this year. And while the grown-up part of this all-day Halloween celebration is super fun, we’d like to see some dogs bring their A-plus game to the costume contest and dog parade beginning at 1 p.m. For the most part, seeing dogs in costumes might be the single most awesome sight, especially with those new outfits that just fit over the pup’s front legs and are designed for those legs to look like costumed human legs -- a laugh riot, we tell you! All parts of the party in the CWE are free, including the kids’ stuff beginning at 11 a.m.; for more information visit www.thecwe.com.
