The St. Louis Jewish Film Festival continues today with a double feature, appropriately starting at 2 p.m. at Landmark Plaza Frontenac Cinema (1701 South Lindbergh Boulevard). First up is Gayle Kirschenbaum’s short subject, My Nose, a probing examination of the nose job and its role in Jewish society. Kirschenbaum’s mother thinks her daughter should get that schnozz bobbed, but Gayle’s not so sure she wants to do it; she asks surgeons, strangers and herself if the Jewish nose is something to change or accept. After that comes Arranged, the tale of two Brooklyn women – one Orthodox Jewish, one Syrian – dealing with the tradition of arranged marriages.
