Behold, gentle flock of St. Louis! A majestic angel of mirth approaches; in her bountiful arms, the endless, auspicious bounty of Trey Parker and Matt Stone's musical genius, The Book of Mormon. Considered the best musical of the century by the New York Times critics, The Book of Mormon finally stops in Missouri at the Fox Theatre (527 North Grand Boulevard; 314-534-1678 or www.fabulousfox.com). The premise is simple enough: Two innocent Mormon missionaries travel to Uganda to spread the word of Joseph Smith. However, the Ugandans they try to help/convert are a little more focused on the issues at hand, such as merciless warlords, the spread of HIV and food insecurity; no big, they're just trying to survive. The show takes place at 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, at 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, and 1 and 6:30 p.m. Sunday (February 19 through March 3). Tickets range from $39 to $100.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: Feb. 19. Continues through March 3, 2013
