The Union Station hotel lobby is a stunner.
Perhaps the only thing more romantic than a hotel lobby is a grand old train station — and the St. Louis Union Station Hotel (1820 Market Street) stunningly combines both. With an arched 65-foot ceiling and stained glass windows, the former train station provides a spectacular spot to check in (or just linger over a newspaper).

Not surprisingly, we're not the only ones who've noticed. U.S. News and World Report recently included the Union Station Hotel lobby in its list of "10 Beautiful Hotel Lobbies Across America." Other honorees include the Art Deco Hotel Phillips in Kansas City, the Jefferson in Washington, D.C., and the Hilton Chicago.

Of the lobby, the magazine extols its good looks before noting, "Guests can catch the daily high-tech 3-D light show, where images dance on the lobby ceiling. The Grand Hall also features a lounge with cocktails and brews, offering the perfect perch to enjoy the lightshow."

We couldn't have said it better ourselves!

To get a better look at this stunner, check out the hotel's promotional video or read up on the U.S. News and World Report list.
