The St. Louis Art Museum is located within Forest Park.

This might be the coolest summer job ever.

Forest Park Forever, the group that maintains that gorgeous expanse of green with all the museums on the city's western edge, is accepting proposals for its first-ever summer residency program. Up to three artists will get $3,000 each to spend three weeks in the park, making art. They'll also get a $1,000 each to throw a closing event of their choosing.

And there are literally no restrictions beyond the fact that they want you to plan on spending about ten hours a week for three weeks between May and September. Poor you, having to spend ten hours in that glorious park making art!

(OK, there is one restriction — you can't trash the park, or permanently alter it. But that should go without saying.)

"We're looking for artists of all disciplines," says Katy Peace, the marketing and digital manager for Forest Park Forever. "When we say you can have any background, we really mean it. If you're a choreographer, a painter, a sculptor, we want to hear from you."

You have until March 25 to get in your proposal, which will be judged by an esteemed panel of artists, critics and community members. What are you waiting for?
