RE: In the Shadow of the Arch

The Gateway Arch remains the most recognizable landmark of St. Louis since it was completed in 1965. The creation of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial contains a long and complex narrative in itself, and questions of its legacy bring up a history of urban decay and displacement.
