The "dirty" wings at Flavors BBQ Sports Bar & Grill

Flavors BBQ Sports Bar & Grill (4317 Manchester Avenue; 314-533-1288) has been closed since last week due to a "family emergency," according to a sign posted on its front door. That sign promised a return "next" (i.e., this) week, but as of this moment the restaurant has yet to be reopen. Calls to Flavors' listed number have gone unanswered.

Flavors opened last year in the Grove district. I liked the barbecue there quite a bit when I reviewed it, especially the smoked chicken wings, which found a place on my 100 Favorite St. Louis Dishes. More as I learn it.
