Molly's in Soulard, the "new" restaurant resulting from Molly's expanding into the old Norton's space next-door, opens tomorrow, August 28, at 808 Geyer Avenue.

The new Molly's features a menu from well-known local chef and restaurant consultant Eric Brenner of Moxy. The menu is not yet available on Molly's website, but the press release describes it as "French Bistro-style, Creole-influenced preparations of fresh seasonal ingredients from land and sea."

As for what to expect from the look of the new restaurant, here I quote from afrorementioned press release at length:
Awaiting on the inside the interior has been transformed into a comfortable turn of the century bistro with large oversized booths, banquettes and table seating for approximately 75 people. A special third dining room that will trickle out to the patio though French doors will be available for large parties and private dining. Outdoor diners can linger on almost 10,000 sq. ft. of treelined Soulard refuge. The new combined patio space will be one of the largest in St. Louis and will provide al fresco dining as well as more intimate tables nestled in cabanas with fans. For those of you loyal patron of the old Molly's Lounge, don't worry, one of the original bed-style cabanas was left intact.
