It's not just Alamo Drafthouse Cinema that plans to take up residency in Midtown next year — Punch Bowl Social also announced this morning it will be coming to the City Foundry complex.

The "eatertainment" concept, which promises a "'dirty modern’ mash-up of chandeliers, food for foodies, PBR tallboys, and craft beverages," along with bowling, video games and pool, began in Denver in 2012. It's since grown to eleven locations across the U.S. — with nine more planned for this year. It plans to open in St. Louis in 2019, the company said in a press release.

City Foundry is currently under construction in the former Century Electric Foundry space on the edge of  Midtown at 3700 Forest Park Avenue. In addition to Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and Punch Bowl Social, the complex promises a food hall, retail and office space.

In addition to a menu designed by Hugh Acheson of Top Chef fame, Punch Bowl Social St. Louis will feature "a bocce court, private karaoke rooms, bowling, a custom built 360-degree bar with plenty of televisions for the sports enthusiast and numerous lounging and gathering spots — for groups both large and small — housed in an eclectic space where the design melds modern, industrial, Victorian and mountain lodge elements to create an inviting social environment."

The 26,000-square-foot space also promises to include virtual reality games, which Punch Bowl Social recently launched at its Austin location.
