Friday (July 20):

Belgian Beer & Mussel Mania @ Schlafly Tap Room Fill up on freshly flown in coldwater mussels paired with ales. Belgian waffles and live music sweeten the delicious deal. Admission is free. Friday, July 20 from 5 p.m. to midnight and Saturday, July 21 from 11 a.m. to midnight.

Third Friday Open House @ Third Degree Glass Factory Sip on sangrias, snack on small plates like dumplings with soy glaze and Thai noodle salad, and sample Frostbite Gourmet Ice cream along with all of the usual art and festivities. Admission is free. 6 to 10 p.m.

Outdoor Film Series: A Hard Day's Night @ St. Louis Art Museum The Friday fun continues this month with The Beatles on the big screen, the music stylings of the Pepperland Band, and plenty of food truck dining choices including Pi, Completely Sauced and Chop Shop. Admission is free. 7 p.m.; movie begins at 9 p.m.

Saturday (July 21):

Third Annual Garlic Fest @ South St. Louis Square Park The Carondelet Community Garden throws a party to celebrate its garlic harvest complete with live entertainment, food vendors, entertainment for kids and cooking demos. Admission is free. 9 a.m to 7 p.m.

Food Trucks at the Factory @ Koken Art Factory Get eats from Big Fat Greek Truck, Seoul Taco, Sarah's Cake Stop and more. Admission is $5 for adults; free for children. 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to midnight.

Belgian Independence Day @ ITAP (both locations) In honor of Belgian Independence Day, ITAP gives away special glassware on a first come, first serve basis and, of course, will feature plenty of Belgian and Belgian style beers on tap. Admission is free. Noon to 5 p.m.

Intro to Wine and Cheese Pairing @ The Wine Merchant Ltd. Enjoy plenty of pairings between classic wines and cheese from famous regions. $35 per person. Call 314-863-6282 for reservations. 6 p.m.

Sunday (July 22):

Sloup @ Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis Enjoy soup with a side of good deeds. $10 pays for a bowl of melon soup, a mixed salad with light vinaigrette, and a vote to benefit a local artist's proposal directly with participants' dining dollars. Noon to 2 p.m.

Haute Vegetarian Tasting Menu @ Kitchen Conservatory Get a taste of summer flavors with a vegetarian tasting menu that includes goat cheese stuffed zucchini blossoms, corn bisque, apricot-almond tart tatin and more. $50 per person. Register online at the Kitchen Conservatory web site. 12:30 to 3 p.m.

Balaban's and 4Hands Beer Dinner Two locals team up to present a five-course meal with accompanying beer pairings. The cost is $55 per person plus tax and gratuity. Call 636-449-6700 for reservations. 6:30 p.m.
