The Docket at Saint Louis University Changes Management

Bon Appétit management company is giving up the Docket (100 North Tucker Boulevard; 314-977-4615), the restaurant and bar that opened at the Saint Louis University law school last August. It's pretty good as far as university dining goes and Bon Appétit is the same company that runs Panorama at the Saint Louis Art Museum. It announced last week that it will transfer "responsibility" of the Docket to Aramark, another food-management company.

There's no bad blood, though -- Bon Appétit says that this was the plan all along. They were only going to be around in the short term to get things started.

"The change was long expected and planned for by Bon Appétit Management Company, as it agreed to open and operate the Docket temporarily until a long-term decision was made as to who the food service contractor for the entire campus would be," it said in a statement.

Aramark did not immediately respond to calls for comment, so it's unclear whether there will be any menu changes at the Docket. The company will be "assuming responsibility" for dining services campus-wide on Monday, May 23.
