Heman Park Tennis Courts

Located in University City’s expansive Heman Park, these free tennis courts are in excellent condition. There are eight hard courts, and four of them have lights that operate until 10:00 p.m. March through November. If there are a few puddles left after recent rain, rollers are available on-site. This isn’t a tennis center or complex, so there's no pro shop, but there are restrooms, water fountains, picnic tables and a small set of bleachers. And you’ll appreciate the windscreens on a blustery day. If you visit, be sure to check out the rest of the park too, which features a fantastic community center, bird sanctuary and swimming pool, as well as fields for just about every sport imaginable.
