You know Lady Miss Kier as the hot faux ginger who fronted one-hit-wonder Deee-Lite and sang the infectious legendary 1990 dance hit "Groove Is in the Heart." Back in the day she was shaking her platformed and polyestered thang to a slide whistle and, honestly, not much as changed since then. Kier began her time in the spotlight as a fashion-obsessed club kid, and eventually she transitioned into a singer, songwriter and all-around fabulous front woman. Taking inspiration from house, disco, funk and soul, Kier has become a genre-crossing cultural icon. The kitsch princess spends her days performing at gay pride events and her nights as an effervescent superstar DJ. We're betting that if anyone can turn you into a party monster, it's her. Bust out the wigs, y'all.

Fact: Lady Miss Kier's real name is Kierin Magenta Kirby. Rad.
