Three people are injured after a car plowed through a brick wall at a Eureka bar Wednesday night.
The Post-Dispatch reports that the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. at Poor Richard's (108 Hilltop Village Center Drive, Eureka). According to Eureka police, three people sitting inside were injured when the vehicle backed through the wall.
The driver then fled the scene, KSDK reports, but was apprehended a short time later by police. The injured customers were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Fox 2. All three were released from the hospital by Thursday morning, KMOV reports.
The building and bar area of Poor Richard's suffered heavy damage.
The incident is just the latest example of a driver blasting through a restaurant wall in the greater St. Louis area. Earlier this month, the popular Central West End outpost of Shake Shack was forced to close briefly after a driver slammed into its doorway, causing damage to the building. Back in January, a driver punched through the wall of Rich & Charlie's Pizza in Chesterfield immediately after getting a car wash.
No customers or employees were injured in either of those incidents.
