Fired KMOV-TV (Channel 4), anchor Larry Conners has published yet another update on his ongoing legal battle with his former bosses -- in which he tells his supporters that he misses working in the industry and in the meantime is preparing a juicy post on his former employer.

"I am working on a future FB posting titled: KMOV--Behind the Closed Doors. I think you might find it interesting," Conners writes, offering no further details on what this post may reveal. It's not the first time in recent weeks he has hinted about some sort of behind-the-scenes look at KMOV, and it's possible he may be waiting until after his September 3 hearing in his ongoing fight with KMOV and parent company Belo Broadcasting.

Last time Daily RFT spoke with Conners, he told us that he had several serious potential job prospects -- but couldn't move forward due to what he believes is an unreasonable non-compete clause in his contract with KMOV.

Conners was, of course, famously fired after he questioned in a post on his official Channel 4 Facebook page whether the IRS was targeting him in response to an Obama interview he did. The station said the commentary violated its journalistic standards, while Conners has continued to argue that his bosses have been looking for a reason to fire him for years and that he is a victim of discrimination. He has since taken legal action against the company and is hoping a judge will mandate that KMOV allow him to work in St. Louis media now. The station has repeatedly dismissed Conners' allegations altogether.

He writes in yesterday's Facebook post, on his page which now has 4,500 likes:

KMOV/BELO continues to insist that even though I was fired - have no ownership of the company, no proprietary information - I will not be allowed to work in St. Louis broadcasting for one year.

To be blunt (in my opinion) the company doesn't want me, but more importantly ... doesn't want me to be able to work anywhere else.

He also tells his readers that he misses being on-air, where's he has been for about half a century, and is "more determined than ever to continue this fight."

His new post also includes this commentary about his wife and his faith:

Janet, my loving wife, reminds me that at this time ... while we do what we can and must in the courts - God is really in control of these events.

As Janet said, "He is much bigger than the enemy, and in fact, your enemies have no idea what they are facing."

As he repeatedly notes, this is very likely not the end of the story. We'll keep you posted on the latest -- as Conners surely will, too.

STILL BATTLING KMOV/BELO

There's not a day that goes by, not a place I go ... that I don't have one or more supporters stop me and ask: How are things going with Channel 4? Will you be back on the air soon? How are you holding up?

That's just a sample of the questions, and then there are the comments offering prayer, positive support and statements that they quit watching Channel 4 News.

It happened half a dozen times in church this morning, countless times this last week at restaurants, service stations, grocery stores --- wherever I go. I continue to be humbled by all this support. It's important that you know how much I truly appreciate this amazing outpouring of loyalty and concern.

To answer one question: How are things going with Channel 4? The legal battles continue on several fronts, and you can expect to see something new happening in the near future. I'll keep you posted on this page.

The other question: Will you be back on the air soon? That is one of the continuing legal battles.

Another question: How are you holding up? Very well. I miss doing what I enjoy and spent more than 50 years building, but I am fine and more determined than ever to continue this fight.

Janet, my loving wife, reminds me that at this time ... while we do what we can and must in the courts - God is really in control of these events.

As Janet said, "He is much bigger than the enemy, and in fact, your enemies have no idea what they are facing."

I'm entering my 4th month with no job, but as Janet points out ... God continues to provide ... and provide more than just our basic needs.

She is so right. It's good to have such a strong prayer warrior on your side when facing trials and tribulations. ** PS: I am working on a future FB posting titled: KMOV--Behind the Closed Doors. I think you might find it interesting.
