Ballpark Village Steps Up to the Plate with New Menu Items, Attractions

Ballpark Village is kicking off this year's Opening Day celebrations with new menu options, memorabilia and interactive exhibits at the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum. On Thursday, the complex in the shadow of Busch Stadium gave local journalists a sneak peek at the entertainment center.

Bally Sports Live! is installing two new video monitors for Cardinals’ games and other sporting events alongside their 65-foot video wall. Cardinals Nation has added new items to their menu, including an ahi tuna salad for folks looking for healthier options and the Bootlegger Burger for fans who want to pig out before the big game. Meanwhile, Sports and Social is Ballpark Village’s sports bar and game center, where fans can catch a Cardinals, St. Louis Blues, or City SC game while they knock down a rack of Baja Shrimp Tacos.

Upstairs, the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum has installed three new interactive exhibits where fans can place themselves into memorable moments in Cardinals’ history. The museum has also added an exhibit that highlights Latino and Hispanic players from Cardinals history. Just below the museum, fans can purchase autographed baseballs, and the actual bases used in games, at the Cardinals Authentic Shop.

For fans looking for a more glamorous experience, Katie’s Pizza and Pasta Osteria is the place to dine. Owner Katie Lee has crafted a menu filled with Italian cuisine including handmade tortellini, black spaghetti made with squid ink, and Maine lobster tail thermidor. The white marble, lush vegetation, and fiery pizza oven make Katie’s Pizza and Pasta Osteria look like it was imported from Italy. This is Lee's first Opening Day at Ballpark Village — and she is ready.
