Hello,
I'm looking for a rock tribute band to play for our 35th class reunion tentatively booked for 10/13/12 at the Forest Park Pavillion.
Could you please reply with availability and pricing.
Sincerely,
Mary Kennon
The genius of Superjam is that, rather than paying tribute to a specific group, the band evokes an entire time period — specifically, the arena-rock era of the '70s and '80s, when KSHE and its porcine mascot, Sweetmeat, ruled the local-music radio airwaves. Tongues planted firmly in cheek, the five members of Superjam — all seasoned veterans of many other local bands — still manage to deliver the musical goods, even as outsize rock-star poses are struck, guitars are brandished, goofy grimaces are displayed, unfashionable headbands are worn, and houses are, inevitably, rocked. With a song list covering bands from April Wine to Zebra and including tunes from KSHE staples such as Boston, Foreigner, Journey, Kansas, REO Speedwagon and Styx, Superjam is a veritable audio fountain of youth for the mullet-wearing, Trans Am-driving teenager still embedded deep within many otherwise sedate, middle-aged members of society.
