Don't Leave Me Hanging, Bro

Tattoo conventions have become more common as tattoos have entered the mainstream. That said, the Immersed in Ink Tattoo Festival is definitely not your average convention. Sure, this traveling con offers the usual live tattooing and piercing, and the traditional contests, including a Worst Tattoo category where the winner receives two laser removal sessions at Vanishing Point Tattoo Removal. Immersed in Ink gets a little odd with hardcore midget wrestling, live human suspension (if you've seen The Return of a Man Called Horse, you're wincing and rubbing your pectorals right now) and a full-on carnival sideshow. The Immersed in Ink Festival takes place from 2 to 10 p.m. Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday (June 11 through 13) at the Millennium Hotel (200 South Fourth Street; www.immersedinink.com). Admission is $20 per day or $35 for a weekend pass.
