You know who camps out on Thanksgiving to go shopping? Morons, and people who loathe retail employees. You know who gets up early on Thanksgiving to be downtown by 8:45 a.m.? Families, and people who enjoy a parade. The Ameren Missouri Thanksgiving Parade is a traditional procession, with floats and marching bands and civic groups all donating their time and efforts to present a classic holiday experience. It's the perfect wake-up for a day of football, family and food, so get out there as a family and enjoy it. The parade kicks-off at the corner of North Fourth Street and Washington Avenue, and admission is free. More information is available at www.christmasinstlouis.org.
