Everyone and their mother recognizes the name "Frank Lloyd Wright," but few know that of Louis H. Sullivan. Sullivan was also an architect and an original member of the Prairie School of Design, as well as being an influence on the aesthetic and work of Mr. Wright. Director Mark Smith's documentary, Louis Sullivan: The Struggle for American Architecture, explores the life and legacy of the man who designed our town's Wainwright Building and the Union Trust Building. Louis Sullivan screens at 7 p.m. at the Tivoli Theater (6350 Delmar Boulevard, University City; www.cinemastlouis.org) as part of the Saint Louis Filmmakers Showcase. Admission is $8 to $10.
