FoodWire: "Divine Swine" Wine Dinner at Five

The recently relocated Five (5100 Daggett Avenue; Web site) is hosting the "Divine Swine" wine dinner on Thursday, July 23, at 7 p.m. The five-course meal features pork, pork and more pork -- all from Benne's Farm in St. Charles -- as well as wine from the Two Angels winery. First Course: Japanese cucumbers, Claverach Farms micro greens, rice-wine vinegar and beer-battered fried pig's ear, paired with sauvignon blanc

Second Course: Pan-seared pork cake, Benne's Farm egg and peach jam, paired with petite sirah

Third Course: Housemade charcuterie (head cheese, pâté grand-mère, pâté de campange, prosciutto, coppa and sausage), paired with "Divinity"

Fourth Course: "Tasting of Pork" (braised belly with horseradish-potato puree and white corn chutney; roasted ham with chive potato gnocchi and tomato; and braised pork meatballs with cappelini and truffle oil), paired with cabernet sauvignon

Fifth Course: Peach tart and bacon ice cream, paired with syrah
