Michael's Bar & Grill

This Maplewood institution is both a Greek restaurant and a neighborhood bar & grill. Sit in the bar and munch on T-ravs or the excellent hot wings - crisp-skinned and plenty spicy - while you watch the Cards or Blues, or take a table on one of the two levels or the covered outdoor patio and enjoy braised lamb shank over bucatini pasta. (It's like extra-thick spaghetti that has had a hole threaded through the middle.) Michael's burger is one of the area's best: thick, juicy and full of beefy flavor.
