VAST majordomo Jon Crosby successfully caught the tail-end of the eclectic alternative age with 1998's "Touched" (a creepy thunder-roll featuring haunted monk chants) and 2000's underrated Music for People (the best Love and Rockets album never made). But in the ensuing years, Crosby's profile has dipped underground — although he hasn't stopped releasing tunes; a new album, April, is due early next year.
