Take One Last Look Inside the Courtesy Diner, It’s For Sale

The Courtesy Diner on South Kingshighway has officially been listed for sale.

Many St. Louisans were holding on to hopes that the south side institution would suddenly reopen and start serving slingers again, but those dreams have died.

The property at 3153 South Kingshighway has been shut down since May of last year, when it closed indefinitely due to staffing issues.

It’s possible that a buyer interested in an old-timey diner could swoop in and keep the greasy spoon thing going, but it’s also possible that this prime real estate location could be leveled and built up into something else entirely. We’ll keep you updated either way.

But for now, our hearts hurt. (And not just because we’ve stuffed them full of bacon and hash browns.)

We’ll forever miss late night pancakes and Devils Delights at the south city spot, but if you need some Courtesy in your life you can visit the two remaining locations at 1121 Hampton Avenue and 8000 South Laclede Station Road.

For more information on this $550,000 property, visit the listing page or contact Ben Weis at Location Commercial Real Estate at 314-818-1550.
